Having started his career climbing trees in rural Surrey, he’s since worked on large commercial contracts, heritage conservation projects, and emergency storm response teams. James founded the Tree Removal & Felling Blog to share practical, evidence-led insights from the field — demystifying the work that goes into safe, professional tree surgery. His writing combines technical expertise with a deep respect for trees and the ecosystems they support. He holds multiple NPTC certifications and has trained teams in aerial rescue, sectional dismantling, and risk assessment.
